Withdrawals, Refunds and Deferrals

School of Travel Journalism (STJ)

The School of Travel Journalism maintains a clear and transparent policy regarding withdrawals, refunds, and deferrals. This policy is available to all current and prospective students through our website and in the terms and conditions accepted at the time of enrollment.

All requests must strictly comply with the present policy.


1. Global Master Programs (Cohort-Based Programs)

For Global Master programs, the following conditions apply:

  • If the student pays a reservation fee, this amount is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • If the student completes the full tuition payment, the amount paid is non-refundable.
  • No partial or full refunds will be granted once payment has been made.

The reservation fee secures a place in a specific intake and involves academic and administrative planning; therefore, it is not refundable.


2. Self-Paced / Hybrid Programs

For programs delivered in a self-paced or hybrid format, students are entitled to a:

15-Day Guarantee

  • Students have a 15-calendar-day guarantee period starting from the date of their first payment, regardless of whether:
    • the full tuition was paid upfront in a single payment, or
    • the student enrolled under an installment plan.

If the student submits a written withdrawal request within these 15 days, they will be entitled to a refund of the amount paid up to that date.

After the 15-day period has elapsed, no refunds will be granted, whether partial or full.


3. Deferrals and Intake Changes

For programs with scheduled intakes, any request to defer enrollment must be submitted in writing and is subject to approval by the School.

If a deferral is granted:

  • No refund rights will arise.
  • The enrollment will be transferred to the newly approved intake.

4. Withdrawal and Refund Procedure

All withdrawal or refund requests must be submitted in writing to:

Requests received after 12:00 p.m. (Spain time) will be considered submitted on the following business day.

Where applicable (only within the valid guarantee period), refunds will be processed within 7 business days, excluding banking processing times.

Refunds will be issued directly to the student unless written and signed instructions are provided authorizing payment to a different account holder.


5. Final Considerations

  • No refunds will be granted outside the situations expressly described in this policy.
  • Acceptance of these conditions takes place at the moment of enrollment.
  • The School reserves the right to update or modify this policy when necessary.
