Ovar, Portugal, May 20 — The School of Travel Journalism (STJ) and the Centro de Portugal Film Commission (CPFC), organizer of the international tourism film festival ART&TUR – Festival Internacional de Cinema de Turismo, have formalized a collaboration agreement aimed at creating new opportunities for professionals and students in travel journalism and communication.

Under this agreement, STJ students will be able to submit their productions to the ART&TUR festival free of charge, opening the door to one of the most prominent international competitions in the field of tourism film and audiovisual. The initiative is especially aimed at graduates and students in the final stages of their studies who have developed documentary projects as part of their Master’s Thesis.
In addition, ART&TUR participants and affiliated members will receive a 20% discount on STJ’s training programs, acknowledging the complementarity between both institutions and their shared commitment to quality education in the sector. “We sincerely believe that very exciting opportunities can emerge between the Centro de Portugal Film Commission, ART&TUR and the School of Travel Journalism,” said Daniel Murillo, STJ representative. “This is a collaboration that brings real value to our students and strengthens the connection between journalism education and the tourism audiovisual industry.”
For ART&TUR – International Tourism Film Festival Director Mariana Calaça Baptista, the training opportunities available to ART&TUR participants are a constant source of motivation that makes this Festival a key landmark on the world stage, and this agreement is part of that goal.
Both institutions plan to explore new avenues of collaboration in the near future within the framework of the ART&FACTORY project, further extending the reach of this alliance beyond the festival itself.
